Lieutenant General Martin VondrášekDear visitors of the Future Forces Exhibition & Forum 2026,
It is my pleasure, on behalf of the Police of the Czech Republic, to once again extend my greetings and warm welcome to all guests and visitors of Prague's largest international trade fair focused on modern defence and security technologies. For us, as police officers, this event represents a unique opportunity to look into the future and discover technologies that may help ensure the safety and security of the citizens of the Czech Republic in the years to come.
I represent the country's largest security force, whose scope of responsibilities is exceptionally broad. From officers serving at local police stations and their commanders to specialists whose faces you would never associate with police service, all of them serve with the same objective: to ensure that everyone in our country feels safe and secure. I am proud of our policewomen and policemen for approaching their duties with professionalism and dedication and for striving every day to fulfil our motto, "To Help and Protect."
Most importantly, the public recognizes and appreciates this commitment. According to the latest STEM survey, 81% of adult citizens express trust in the Police of the Czech Republic. This confidence obliges us to continue being at least as successful and as effective as we have been so far. That is one of the reasons why we are also part of the Future Forces Forum: to gain new insights, explore emerging technologies, share experience, and, as we do every year, present a part of police work to visitors.
This year, our presentation will focus on several special police units whose missions include operations against terrorists, dangerous criminals and violent crowds, the protection of nuclear power plants and airports, as well as search and rescue operations for missing persons.
More than 400 police officers from across the country will also gather at this year's professional security conference, entitled "Crime Committed in the Online Environment II."
Personally, I am very much looking forward to visiting this year's Future Forces Exhibition & Forum and once again taking away many new ideas and inspirations for a safer future. I also look forward to meeting fellow visitors who share our commitment to security and public safety.
Lieutenant General Martin VONDRÁŠEK
Police President of the Czech Republic
