JISR in Area of Operation

It is fundamental to gain all the possible information and characteristics if aiming to dominate in a battlefield or a controlled area. Joint Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (JISR) is a military branch which brings extensive data from an area of operation to a commander. The company of JISR Institute is a group of subject matter experts from various disciplines, such as Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), Electronic Warfare (EW), Suppression of Enemy Air Defense (SEAD), Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) or Special Operations. The institute role is to support a customer since the challenge analysis until the training and evaluation phase. We do not develop technologies. Our goal is to build up new capabilities by putting subject matter experts and cooperating technology producing companies together. Our effort always directs at the analysis of existing technologies and processes to extend it and make more efficient. As a part of presentation, some existing solutions from ISR and EW domains will be shortly introduced.


Curriculum Vitae

Petr Kopeček graduated at the Brno University of Technology at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication in 2008. At the time he was already working as a freelancer developing applications mainly in C++ and Java languages. After he gained the diploma he started a doctoral study at the University of Defense in Brno. When he passed final doctoral exam in 2011 he had been already working for the URC Systems company. His focus was the Electronic Warfare and especially signal analysis software. Nowadays he has been working for the company for more than 10 years and participated on several projects for Czech Armed Forces during the period. It was firstly in the role of a software developer and then in the project manager role. He is a member of NATO Signal and Electronic Warfare Working Group (SEWWG) and a member of the STANAG 4658 (CESMO) custodian project team. He participated on the newest STANAG 4658 version definition. Beside his activity within the URC Systems company, he works as a subject matter expert with the focus on Electronic Warfare systems in the JISR Institute company since 2017. His motto is: To exploit every occasion.
