Curriculum Vitae

Lieutenant Colonel Andrew Page was born in London in 1965. He was educated at Woodhouse Grove School, Bradford, West Yorkshire and studied Physical Education, English and Education at St Luke's College, University of Exeter. He went to the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in 1987 and was commissioned into the Royal Engineers.

His early Regimental appointments and 'Combat Engineering' career included service predominantly in Germany with the occasional operational deployment to Northern Ireland.  In 1994 he specialised as a Military Survey Officer gaining an MSc in Defence Geospatial Information. His sub unit Command 2001-2003 was spent at the Joint Air Reconnaissance Intelligence Centre (JARIC) which would lay the foundation of his career as an 'Intelligence' Officer. His early staff appointments included the Directorate of Military Operations and the Directorate of Joint Capability in the British Ministry of Defence. It was here that he gained his first Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Capability delivery experience overseeing the UK's first engagement with the United States Predator (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) Task Force. From 2005-2008 he served on the Intelligence Staff of NATO's Allied Command Transformation (ACT) in Norfolk, Virginia, USA. After completion of an MA and attendance at the Joint Services Command and Staff College (JSCSC), he was assigned to the Permanent Joint Headquarters J3 Division. In 2011 he returned to the United States and was appointed as a UK Liaison Officer to the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (NGA) and subsequently was seconded from there into his current post on the European Union Military Staff (EUMS) in Brussels as the Chief Geospatial Officer within the EUMS Intelligence Division. In addition to seeing service in Northern Ireland his operational experience includes both Bosnia and Afghanistan.

Lieutenant Colonel Page is married to Sarah, who is a Teacher at The British School in Brussels. They have two children, James (1997) currently at Loughborough University and Millie (2002) at Malvern College, United Kingdom. When not working or 'vicariously' supporting the sporting activities of his children, he likes to spend time with his family, refurbishing old properties, travelling and experiencing different cultures.
